Let Passion Be Your Compass
Steve Mendl isn’t your ordinary speaker. Oh no!Steve Mendl masterfully changes between educator and comedian with a keen ability to adapt to any audience. One thing you can be assured of is Steve will ‘edu-tain’ you, that is, entertain you while he educates. Diagnosed with Leukaemia at the age of 12 Steve Mendl knows about living life with passion, he is the first to acknowledge that he is one of the luckiest people on the face of planet earth.
He has travelled the world and experienced many cultures and values. From these experiences and travels he has identified four common elements of ‘Passion’ which he likens to our ‘Compass for Passion’.
His achievements are plentiful and extremely diverse. Steve has been keynote speaker at Australia Day cereomonies throughout Australia. He has also appeared on the Australian drama series "A Country Practice". Steve has been on of Cleo Magazine's 50 Most Eligible Bachelors as a result of his media profile and international work with CanTeen. 1993 saw Steve awarded the NSW Young Achiever of the Year for community service. In 1995, Steve was honoured by the National Australia Day Council for his contribution to CanTeen Australia with a Young Australian Achieve of the Year Award. More recently he has spent time in the Middle East (the UAE) where he arrived as a business economics teacher and left as one of the Arabian Gulf's best known music and radio DJ's. Earlier this year Steve's passion for music was acknowledged as he received the coveted Mr Bo Jangles DJ/MC of the Year Award for 2006/07.
Steve’s insight into living a life of ‘passion’ leaves his audiences with more than a few thoughts to ponder as he presents Let Passion Be Your Compass in a very entertaining yet powerful way. His own blend of edutainment will have you appreciating a serious topic in a light hearted way.
Using the metaphor of a compass, Steve Mendl uniquely explores the four cardinal points of PASSION- Values, Beliefs, Perspective and Actioneering (engineering action towards a future you desire). When you align each of the four components personally, Great Outcomes result. On this short and powerful journey, Steve provides insights into how you can access your own model of the world in order to be heading towards your own “True North”.
